Welcome to the world Marissa Emma Oliver!!

At 10:23 am on October 3rd, 2009 Marissa Emma Oliver was welcomed into the world weighing 7 1/2 lbs. I would like to say Congratulations to her parents Larry and Candace.
Here is a picture of the beautiful little princess!

Isn't she the cutest!!

Marissa is my parents 7th grandchild, 6 boys and 1 girl!!

3 of the boys Sidney, Ryder and Ethan!!

My VERY Wise 3 year-old!!

Ever hear the saying "Kid's say the darnest things"??, well I'll tell you it's true!! About a week ago while we were eating dinner, Ethan stood up at the table and was playing instead of eating, and I asked him to please sit down and eat, to which I got the reply........

"A STRONG MAN STANDS UP FOR HIMSELF!!!!!"

I couldn't help but laugh and think where does he come up with this stuff! After I found out he heard it on the movie "Barnyard" The cow stands up to the bully Coyotes to protect himself and his friends!!

Back to the Blogging World!!

It's been a long time well actually almost a year to be exact since my last post!! So i'm going to give a quick recap on the past year!!

December 2008:

My first Christmas in Newfoundland since 2004

Geremys first Christmas with his parents since he was about 17 and i`m not sure if it was his 1st in Newfoundland or not!
It was a month of many new things for Ethan who was 2 at the time:
1st Christmas with all his Grandparents
1st Christmas in Newfoundland
1st time meeting his cousins Sidney and Ryder (well it was our 1st time too)
1st time since he was a little baby that he actually sat and got his picture taken with Santa
1st time Santa came and visited him at home on Christmas Eve

Letter we wrote and posted on facebook to all our family and friends in Ontario :)

The picture we took of the kids when they went to see Santa, we framed it and gave it to Mom and Calv for Christmas (L-R: Ryder (about 2 months), Ethan 2 years, Sidney 1 year)

Ethan and Santa Christmas Eve at our place (Nanny and Poppy`s)

Ethan currently attends the Region of Peel Preschool program 2 days a week from 8:30 - 11:30 so that gives Mommy sometime to get cleaning, shopping or anything else done that I can do while he`s at preschool!!

Not Much Time!!!

I've been a bit busy lately with everything going on in my life, so there hasn't been much time to post anything on my blog.
This past weekend was Thanksgiving weekend. It went pretty well!! Saturday we went Apple Picking at Orchalaw Farms in Norval, with our friends Jeremy, Brittany and their son Noah who is Ethans age, and Geremy's Aunt Rita, Uncle Edwin and his cousin Christine came too. It was lots of fun and I'll post some pictures later. Then after that we went to the trailer for the night. Sunday we had Thanksgiving dinner at the trailer and came home later that night.
Monday morning started early with a phone call my sister Terri-Dawn and her boyfriend Stephen welcomed their 2nd son into the world.
Ryder Calvin Gaius Sparkes was born Monday October 13th, at 5:18 (I think) weighing in at 7 lbs 8 oz.
Congratulations to my sister, Stephen and Big Brother Sidney!!
I can't wait to get to Newfoundland to see them both. Auntie loves you both Sidney and Ryder!!!
Also Geremy's sister Yolanda, her husband Marty and their daughter Mackenzie are awaiting the arrival of their 2nd child too. It'll be any day now, and i'll keep you posted. So exciting so many babies :)
I promise to post some pictures soon!!
